RambaQUICK Salmonella Method

For Rapid detection of Salmonella species including S. Typhi, S. Paratyphi and Lactose positive

A 3 steps Method:

1. overnight revivification in buffered peptone water.

2. selective enrichment in our RambaQUICK Salmonella broth for 7 hours.

3. streaking onto a CHROMagar Salmonella Plus plate and incubation for 18-24h.

For detection and differentiation of Bacillus cereus group

Typical Appearance of microrganisms

Bacillus cereus → blue with white halo
Other Bacillus → blue, colourless or inhibited

Gram negative bacteria → inhibited

Yeast and moulds → inhibited

For detection of E.sakazakii (Cronobacter spp.)

according to ISO/TS 22964 standard

E.sakazakii → green to blue

Other Gram (-) → inhibited, colourless or light purple/translucent colonies

Gram (+) bacteria → inhibited
